UGA vs TN, Lowlights

UGA 19 -  TN 45

This is a quick one, only because we stank up the joint so bad, that I can't muster the ability to put any heart into this post. Truly one of the greatest plays was when Peachtree TV went out in the second half.

As with most, the FIRE someone chant is heating up, I just don't know where to go, Offense, Defense, ST, Various Ass't coaches, Head Coach. All I know is someone has to pay for the poor performance that we have had this year. I don't care what is said, something needs to be done. So Damon and Richt, better start looking at resumes because some fresh blood is needed.

The Good, what there was

  • Special Teams scored 12 points. Blocked punt for a safety, 100yd KO return and a 53yd Field Goal.
  • Defense had a pick 6
  • Drew Butler had 6 punts for 299 yards for an average of 49.8.
  • Blair Walsh has a 53yd FG, gaining on Rex Robinson and other for 2nd place in 50+ yard field goals

That's all the I saw that was good. So that leaves the bad, and there was plenty of it.

  • Coach Willie got schooled by a newbie
  • Our Defense made the Tennessee QB Crompton look like a Heisman Candidate.
  • Our Offense still has no running game, 22 for 89 yards, avg of 4 yards. Longest run 17 yards
  • Offensive game plan needs to end the 3 yard screen pass when we are 3rd and long. Hasn't worked and won't until the above running game is fixed.
  • Defense gave up too many big plays.
  • Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers, 2 INTs and 1 Fumble
  • Play calling on both sides of the ball, 'nuff said. It stank.

We were all hoping that this game would be the one that we had the complete game, we once again, we leave disappointed and cussing.

I used to think, hey we have Vandy coming up and think, "yea they play us tough, but we win." Now I'm not to sure.

So Dawgs, pour a drink or 10, as I think we have hit bottom, if not, it's damn close.
